Pre-Update Snapshot

Before every update, SafeCore compresses the full plugin/theme folder into a ZIP and exports the associated WordPress data. Everything is stored offline in an .htaccess-protected folder.

Post-Update Health Check

After each update, SafeCore requests a configurable health URL and waits for an HTTP 200 response. On failure, timeout, or PHP fatal error, rollback is triggered automatically.

Rollback & Isolation

If the health check fails, SafeCore restores the snapshot by overwriting the failing files. As a last resort, the isolated plugin is temporarily renamed to deactivate it without database access.

Fatal Error Handler

SafeCore installs a custom PHP fatal error handler as a dropin. This file catches PHP crashes before WordPress processes them, enabling rollback even on a total white screen.

Standalone Recovery Script

SafeCore deploys an autonomous PHP script accessible via a secure URL. This script restores any snapshot without WordPress being operational — your ultimate safety net.
